Above writing says the following:- This photographs shows the Green Dragon public house which stood in King Street, Milton Regis. The landlord in this picture, taken about 1920, was Mr. George Cockell, seen here with Mr. Arthur Lewis and his niece Daisy. Both public house and street were demolished about 1955.

Public Notice:

EDWARD LEWIS SPRATT now residing at the "Prince of Wales" Snipes Hill … offer to surrender the existing Spirit Retailers or Publicans On Licence respect of the premises situate in King Street Milton Regis Near Sittingbourne in the said County and known by sign of the "Green Dragon" and of which said premises the said Style & Winch Limited are the owners. GIVEN under my hand this Seventh Day of January, 1957.

 

I am informed that the premises has been demolished, around about 1960.
