3 King Street Milton Regis
It was reported from an article in the East Kent Gazette titled "Reminiscences of Milton pubs, around 1860" published in 1922:- that there were often free fights and carnage there. This was a rendezvous for the seafaring men to congregate and chat. A Thomas Gouge, jun. operating as a wheelwright from premises at the back of the Smack Inn, King Street in 1865, advertised in The East Kent Gazette, on January 7, 1865.
