Lower Street

This was mentioned in Pigot's directory of 1828, but I have seen no other mention of the pub after that date so far. However, the name of the licensee, Matthew Brown was also given as the licensee of the "Jolly Sailor" the same years.

However, I also have reference to the "Laurel Tree" also in Lower Street changing name to the "Phoenix" in 1875, but not lasting long under that name or certainly not being seen in 1876.
