The building was originally called the "New Inn."

I also believe that it must have had the name of "Pewter Pot" on at least two separate occasions. I am informed that this pub closed in 2006 and was converted into an Italian Restaurant.

If I am correct, the name changes in order to date 2013, have been as follows:- Originally the "New Inn," to "Pewter Pot," to "Three Legged Toad," to "Saxby's" to "Pewter Pot" again, to "Rumours," to "Carbeez."
