Castle Inn Ewell Minnis

Above photo by Paul Skelton 8th Sept 2007 shows what is believed to be the site (centre of picture) of the Castle Inn at Ewell Minnis

The original pub in Ewell Minnis called the Castle Inn was just round the corner from where the now closed Newcastle Inn stands.

The "Castle" burnt down around the turn of the 20th century, "recent evidence suggests this was pre 1896,) but a new pub was built adjacent to the remains of the old one in 1902 and named the "New Castle Inn". (Again, recent evidence suggests pre 1896.)
