Buckland

A Black Bull showing up in the Buckland area in 1826, the licensee being G French. This was again identified in Pigot's directory of 1928-29 but not seen at a "Black Bull" after that date.

I believe that this is in fact the same pub as the "Bull" at 168 London Road and the "Black" was a misprint in Pigot's Directory as a George French turns up as licensee in Pigot's Directory of 1923.
