PUB LIST PUBLIC HOUSES Paul Skelton

Earliest 1890-

Forester's Arms

Closed 1968

Main Road

Sutton-at-Hone

Ship 1911

Above photo circa 1911. Although this shows predominantly the "Ship" Michael Norman informs me that the "Foresters Arms" is actually in the background to the right.

Former Forester's Arms

Above photo, date unknown by Tony Brown.

I also have reference to another "Forester's Arms" at Dartford, but this is a different one to that as both were mentioned in the same paper one after the other and the photo I have found confirm that.

I am told that the pub closed, in 1968 and was converted into a commercial property.

From the Maidstone Journal and Kentish Advertiser, 2 December 1890.

An extension of time for an hour on Saturday, December 6th, on the occasion of an annual dinner of a Friendly society, was granted to the landlord of the "Forester's Arms," Sutton-at-Hone.
