Quite a few Duke's being found in Hartley, and I would think that they are all related in some way or other, but I just haven't found the connection yet, hence the different pages for them all. The other two being the "Duke's Head" and the "Duke William." There is also a "Duke of York" in Cranbrook.

Just to confuse matters even further, there is another "Hartley" near Gravesend, and I think there is a pub there called the "Duke of Cumberland."

The pub closed, as yet date unknown and is now a private residence.

Looking at the photos of this and the "Railway Bell" I would say that they are one and the same building, yet the licensee Archibald mentioned below seems to cause some confusion here, less he was the Thomas Barrett named at the "Railway Hotel."
