The census of 1851 identifies a Peter Stokes, age 44 who is described as being as "Brewers Lab." His wife, Elizabeth Stokes, age 47 is described as a Beer Retailer. Both living at 12 Southwood.

They have 6 children, of which one is also called Elizabeth Stokes, age 9. Although I am not certain at present, but a younger Elizabeth Stokes was licensee of the "Australian Arms" in 1881, age 46 in that year although the ages would make it 7 years out. The other children were as follows:- Susannah age 16, Peter age 13, Henry age 11, Anne age 7 and Thomas age 2. It turns out that the Elizabeth Stokes was the wife of Peter Stokes in 1884.

I am also wondering whether 12 Southwood and 12 Southwood Road are indeed different locations.
