AN UNFORTUNATE TERMINATION TO A WEDDING TRIP.

Last week, Mr. Paul Stone, of Milton, near Sittingbourne, was married, and after the wedding he and Mrs. Stone, accompanied by a lady relative, proceeded by rail to Canterbury, and returned in the same way in the evening. Having entered a fly for the purpose of being conveyed home, the driver left the horse for a moment, when it started off at great speed. When near the “New Inn,” Mr. Stone, thinking if he could get out he might stop the horse, jumped out of the carriage, but fell and severely bruised his shoulder. In the meantime the animal pursued its course towards Milton, passing down the New-road and over the bridge leading to Love-lane, where, alarmed by the cries of the ladies, some persons succeeded in stopping it. Though Mr. Stone was not seriously hurt, some time must elapse before he is able to attend to his business.
