I know nothing about this pub, other than to have found the above sign, which I was told was in Shalmsford Street near Chartham.

Information from ex-local Tony Rogers tells me that "Ye Olde England" was in fact the "George" pub during the late 80s and early 90s. The pub closed in the early 90s and returned back to the "George" later on in that decade having been shut for a while.

I will be adding the historical information when I find or are sent it, but this project is a very big one, and I do not know when or where the information will come from.
