I also have reference to the address being the same as for the "George," 1503 and 1607. Also the "Flushing" from between 1504 and 1607 and the again "George," from 1607+. There is definitely some error here, unless it changed name between those years.

Also a "Pied Bull" addressed as 1-2 High Street.

Project 2014 has been started to try and identify all the pubs that are and have ever been open in Kent. I have just started to map out the pubs that exist or existed in Gravesend, but need local knowledge and photographs, old and current if you have any.

The Chief Constables Report.

Chief Constable Thornton submitted his annual report as follows:-

I have the honour to present my second annual report relative to the arrangement and management of houses licensed for the sale of intoxicating liquor within the borough.

During the year now ending the police have prosecuted, and the Justices have convicted 3 publicans, viz.

3. The landlord of the "Bull," High Street, for receiving stolen property, and he was convicted.
