According to the following passage, this refers to two different locations.

I am not sure at present how far the two were located apart.

Maidstone Telegraph, Saturday 10 September 1870.

Application for spirit licences.

Mr. C. H. Fuller, applied for a licence for a new house at Churchfield, West Malling.

Mr. W. S. Norton appeared for the applicant and stated that Mr. Fuller had formerly held a house of the name of the "Fountain Inn," but it was no longer a beer house, therefore the granting of the application would not be an increase of houses. Applicant proposed calling new his house the "Fountain Inn" also.

The application was granted.

Licensing Sessions.

The bench also consented to the transfer of the "Fountain Inn," West Malling, from Reginald Blow to Alfred J. Rodgeman.

Project 2014 has been started to try and identify all the pubs that are and have ever been open in Kent. I have just added this pub to that list but your help is definitely needed regarding it's history.
