Fountain 1905

Above postcard, 1905, kindly sent by Rory Kehoe.

I believe this has also been referred to as the "Brewery Tap" as well as the "Fountain Tap." As reported in the Kent and Sussex Courier of 1880 the premises operated as a beer house, but I will assume by the suffix of the word "Tap" the premises also used to brew its own beer.

After the death of John Brigden, his widow went on to marry John Pearce.
