Run by Edward Gibbs and identified as early as 1957, but by 1881, Edward Gibbs was living in Ashford and describing himself as a "Gentleman."

Probably ceased with the expiry of heir lease in 1878 and by 1881 Edmund was a brewer's storekeeper in Bow Road, Wateringbury, probably working for either the Kent Brewery of the Phoenix Brewery.

TO BREWERS AND LICENSES VICTUALLERS.

To be disposed of, with immediate possession, the business of the "Bridge Brewery" with public house attached. The Brewery is fitted with five-quarter plant and steam power and has been doing 400 quarterns per annum. The Public House doing 4 barrels per week with good spirit trade. Rent £58.

The Freehold of the House, Brewery and Premises may be purchased or a lease will be granted.
