BOXLEY FIRE.

On Thursday a fire broke out at the Abbey brewery, in the occupation of Mr. T. H. Spencer, of Maidstone. Fortunately one of the men employed on the premises had occasion to go to the brewery about four o'clock, when he discovered the fire and gave the alarm; and assistance quickly arriving, the flames were extinguished. Damage, however, to the extent of about £50 was done to the flooring and to the property near the copper. It seems that the pipe leading from the flue of the copper did not fit, and a piece of sacking was placed around it, which it is supposed was ignited by a cinder, and thus occasioned the damage.
