I have found mention of this pub from a list of former pubs of Deal and Walmer at Deal library. To date I have no further information regarding this establishment, other than it was circa 1680. However, further research by Glover and Rogers mentions the Will of Robert Mumford, in 1679, a pilot who wished to leave "The Scotch Arms" and appurtenances with one half of the yard, to his son Samuel Mumford. Apart from further information that said the yard was built on land lately laying waste, belonging to the Archbishop and now occupied by William Anderson, unfortunately the vicinity remains unknown.
