A token coin initialled with IC, which circulated the town in the seventeenth century may suggest a licensed house. It bore the portrait of that queen, who was Elizabeth, daughter of James 1st. Widowed in 1632 she came to this country at the restoration, dying here thirty years later.

The inscription says "AT THE QVEEN OF BOHEMIA. 1652 I.E.C."
