The pub apparently only held this name between 1884 and about 1890 and either side was known as the "Mulberry Tree."

FREEMASONRY.

The annual dinner connected with the Instruction meeting of the Union Lodge, No. 127, Margate, was held at Bro. Feakins, the "Freemason Tavern," on Thursday evening. Bro. A. H. Boys presided. There was a good attendance, and a very pleasant evening was spent.
