A sweet taste of success.

Head chef John Lancaster is an important part of the success enjoyed by the "Fayreness" at Kingsgate.

He joined the team 9 years ago, apart from a 2 years sabbatical, has been with the "Fayreness" ever since.

His individual style of cuisine is immensely popular. It is no coincidence that the conservatory has been designed to provide an additional dining area to meet increasing demand.

House specialities include local seafood, curries and roast meals. John takes particular care in the selection and preparation of food and his presentation of fresh vegetables is superb.

He served his apprenticeship with the Trust House company and gained additional experience working in hotels and restaurants in Sweden, Greece and London.

Resident director Ley Silcock said the head chef played a vital role in any catering establishment.

"Together with resident manager and manageress Paul and Patricia McKeown, our team looks forward to even more success in the future," said Mr. Silcock.
