62 Ospringe Road Faversham
The "Faversham Arms," dates only from 1840 presumably built by Rigden's Court Street Brewery, as part of their process of expanding the company's tied estate, but the inn sign once boldly displayed the town arms, including the Cinque Ports device. The pub is in the Ospringe Road on the outskirts of the town and built on the site of the town's gallows the original name of the location was Hangman's Field, this changed name in the 17th century Gallows Hole Field.
I will be adding further information as time allows, but with my site getting ever larger, time spent on each pub is being watered down unfortunately. Your information, photos, old or new and licensee names and dates is much appreciated.
