There is a bit of confusion over this one due to the renumbering of the street at one time, as Pigot's Directory of 1828 mentions a "Bell Inn" also being at 59 King Street.

A map of 1822 shows the "Bricklayer's Arms" to be addressed at 59 King Street and up to at least 1903, when John Russell was licensee. By 1826 the same address was advertising the "Bell" so this pub must have changed name some time between those dates.

James Clark has just shown up as licensee in 1901 and Kelly's directory shows the same address. I believe the street has been renumbered at one time causing this confusion.

I have reference saying the "Bricklayer's Arms" was known by that name from 1898-1906 in that year it was closed, having been the "Bell Inn" from 1849. For several years circa 1987 the old pub has been a Chinese restaurant. Another reference says it was originally the "Bricklayer's Arms" from 1822 and changed name to the "Bell Inn" in 1849.
