Former Black Boy

Above picture from Google maps, May 2009, showing No. 8 Preston Street.

From information found the building is early 17th century and has been traced to 1750 as a public house when cock-fighting took place there.

The earliest recorded licensee, although at present name unknown, was there from between 1808 to 1828.

I am unaware when the pub closed.
