Regarding the Old Endeavour

I have just received an email from a Geoff Potter who says the following:-

I have been doing some research for my mother (who is now 96) in connection with my father's maternal family who came from Wootton in Kent.

I see on your article about the Endeavour Pub at Wootton that Margaret Francis has provided a photo of the pub in the mid 1800's showing her relation, Eliza Keeler, outside of the pub. I have a photo of an Eliza Keeler standing outside of the cottage opposite the Endeavour Pub but I think this was a later Eliza Keeler, possibly my father's aunt or grandmother.

It seems possible that Margaret Francis and myself are distantly related and she may have some interesting information on the Keeler family in Wootton.

My father's mother was Louise Keeler who married my Grandfather, Edmund Potter, and after his police training in Kent, they went to live in Barry, S Wales where he worked for the Dock Police in the early 1900's. They lived in a GWR Cottage which was called Wootton and had three children, my father Norman, Cyril and Win.

If you still have a contact address for Margaret then perhaps you could pass this on to her.
