Golden Bell 1991

The above photograph, kindly sent to me by Kathleen Hollingsbee, showing the former "Golden Bell" ale-house, taken in snowy February 1991.

 

Listed as an Alehouse in the mid 1800s. No longer a pub but a cottage in School Road and still known as The Golden Ball. The pub last served ale in about 1850.
