9 The Square Birchington
This pub was the original "Acorn" and not to be confused for the "Acorn" we know today as it is suggested that this one changed name to the "Queen's Head" after the coronation of Queen Victoria. However, further research shows a "Queen's Head" in existance as far back as 1769.
