Obviously in existence before 1791 and the only thing I know about this is what has been found in the Kentish Gazette of 1791.

 

From the Kentish Gazette, May 13 to 17, 1791. Kindly sent from Alec Hasenson.

A Leasehold Messuage or Tenement (some time since a public house, and known by the sign of the Carpenter's Arms)..............situated in a street at the Pier in Dover called Hart's Row, and now in the occupation of Mrs Barron.
