Queen Street
Some of the old writers were able to say a great deal with a few well chosen words. The author will not be alive to-day but living relatives will forgive me I hope for quoting this example.
Nearby to Albion Place stood a pub called "The Albion", later renamed the "Carpenter's Arms". We were informed by the same author that the street was named after the pub. I did not pursue that any further but the more zealous amongst you might bear in mind that a "Carpenter's Arms" later became "The Cause is Altered".
