Iron Horse Inn, Sidcup?

Iron Horse 1950

Above photo, circa 1950. Kindly sent by Rory Kehoe. Identified as the "Iron Horse Inn," Sidcup. Is this an older one in the same area than the one built in 1976. Can't see a hunt being feasible there today. It has been suggested that isn't Sidcup but a pub in Westmoreland (Cumbria?) and documented incorrectly as Sidcup.

A recent email from Dave Evans says the following:- Just came across your page on the Iron Horse in Sidcup. That photo is certainly incorrect as there is no chance of a hunt taking place in Sidcup in the 1950s. The area is 1930s housing with parkland running thought - not hunt territory. In any event - until 1975 the "Station Hotel" stood there.

These two pubs are occupying one and the same location. Somehow the 1970s "Iron Horse" has survived the redevelopment of the area and is now stuck on the side of Marks and Spencer’s!

Regards,

Dave Evans.

Well, can anyone identify it. As Dave says in the 1950s it was indeed the "Station Hotel" and although the shape of the building is a similar shape, although now as large and the windows are in the wrong place.
