Occupied by Hewitt & Clark in 1877, Herbert D. Phelps from 1878-94, and R & H Havens between 1894-98. Humphrey E De Trafford acquired the premises in 1896 and was registered as having 6 houses in 1903, the "Whitehall Inn" at Harbledown being one of them.

In 1907 the brewery was taken over by Mackeson & Co of Hythe at an auction.
