Star Inn

Latest 1791+

St Peter's

Only two instances of this found to date, and is definitely in Thanet and not to me confused for the "Star" in St. Dunstan's near St. Peter's, Canterbury.

From the Maidstone Journal, 26 August 1788.

The stable of the "Star Inn," St Peter's, was broke open, and two saddles and bridal stolen there out, but no horses.

From the Maidstone Journal, 19 July 1791. St Peter`s.bmp"

Yesterday se'nnight as Mr. Huggert, of the "Starr Inn," St. Peter's, in the Isle of Thanet, was returning from Margate on horseback, his horse took fright near his own house, and in turning a corner, threw him against the wall, broke his collarbone and fractured his skull very much; he lingered a few hours and then expired.
