I believe this eventually became the "Stile Bridge" as the passage I have found in 1796 mentions a John Le Fever, who probably changed the name.

 

From the Maidstone Journal, 12 July 1796.

To be sold by Auction, in sundry lots, on Friday next, at 5 o'clock in the afternoon, at the house of Mr. John Le Feaver, known by the name of the "New Inn," at Stile Bridge.

56 acres of Grass, be the same moral less, on a farm near Style Bridge, in the occupation of Mr. Ambrose Austen, in the parish of Marden, to be cut and made into hay, and carried off the land by the purchaser.

For further particulars enquire of Mr. T. Charlton, Week Street, Maidstone. Thomas Ladams being on the premises, will show it.

Also, to be Sold by Auction, on the 29th of July, at the "New Inn" aforesaid, in sundry lots, Corn, as under, as now standing to be cut and carried off the said land by the purchaser.
