Only the one mention of this found at present, and as he had given up his effects to other people, this may well have been the last of this one.

 

From the Maidstone Journal, 23 February 1796.

To Creditors.

Whereas Jonathan Hurssell, of the "Horse Shoe," in the parish of Tonbridge, has delivered up his effects to Mr. James Woolley, of Pembury, and Mr. Thomas Gower, of Tonbridge, in trust for themselves and those of his Creditors Who should execute the deed of assignment and composition, notice therefore is hereby given, that the deed now lies at the office of Mr. Scoones, Attorney at Law, in Tonbridge, where such of the Creditors of the said Jonathan Hurssell as are willing to take a Composition for their debts, are desire to call and execute the same within a month from the date hereof.
