Although I have found no reference to this one myself yet, Paul Fosbraey has sent me information he had found from an article "Relics of Ancient Milton, lecture by Canon Scott Robertson, December 6th 1877" which said the following:- In front of the shops of Mr. Hobbes and Mr. Christfield [junction of St Paul’s Street and Millen Road], over which the inscription "S & M.P.1721" shows that here stood the "Flora’s Head," an Inn kept and owned by Stephen Potter, which in the reign of Anne and George I. was extremely popular with the men of Milton.
