Although I have found no reference to this one myself yet, Paul Fosbraey has sent me information he had found from an article "Relics of Ancient Milton, lecture by Canon Scott Robertson, December 6th 1877" stating that the "Eight Bells" was a public house situated opposite the "King's Arms."
