Not a lot known about this one yet, apart from the following account in 1860.

 

South Eastern Gazette, 2 October, 1860.

Petty sessions, Friday. (Before W. Lambarde, Esq., chairman, the Marquis Camden, Col. Northey, and W. Tipping Esq.)

George Shrubb, labourer, was charged with assaulting George Longley, at Chevening, on the 22nd Sept., at the "Woodman" public-house.

There being no witnesses beyond the parties themselves on either side, the case was adjourned.
