17 Cliff Terrace Cliftonville
I originally thought this was named "Crackers" with a "C". Another of Margate's nightclubs this was described by some as being in a "Soft Cell music video." It was said by locals of having the worst toilets in the whole of Margate, which consisted of a piece of guttering nailed to the wall in the gents. Further information suggests that this was actually addressed at 17 Cliff Terrace in Cliftonville, and was actually called "Krackers" with a "K" and has also been known as "Rumours", "Skids," "Scandals," and "Harriets." Like most nightclubs the name changes every time there is a fight in or outside and it gets a bad reputation. It is said to have been one of Margate's first ever gay bar and was originally known as "Rumours."
