Previously known as the "Sir David Brewster." At present I am not sure when the name changed but believe it closed around 2017. Planning permission was granted in 2017 to convert upper floors into residential. Retrospective application for partial conversion of ground floor to residential was refused on appeal in July 2020. Planning application for basement extension & conversion to residential refused in September 2020. Further application refused February 2024. Again a further application made February 2024 for the partial change of use of the ground floor from a pub to two self-contained dwellings and at time of typing this (April 2024) awaiting decision.
