Only one reference to this found at present, and with there being no address, and other venues in the area with "Rose" and "Crown" in their titles, this could well be referring to one of them.

Another accident occurred on Thursday to a man named John Austin, at the "Rose and Crown Inn." He was returning to the stable after a day’s work in carting, when the horse become unmanageable, and ran over the poor fellow, broke his ribs, and other ways injured him. Dr. H. Monckton was promptly in attendance, who hopes to restore him to his motherless family.

Samuel Wherit was charged with assaulting James William Lane, landlord of the "Rose and Crown," River-row, by hurling a quart pewter pot at him, on his refusing to draw him any liquor.
