Above photo circa 1910, kindly sent by Naadim Shamji. The pub is situated jut to the left of the Post Office on the right by the lamp-post.

I also have reference to a "Black Swan" located in nearby Spittal Street, which may or may not be the same as this. Also a "Swan with Two Necks" addressed at Land Lane in 1799.
