Kentish Gazette, 21 December 1852.

Minster. Fire.

About nine o'clock on Friday evening, a small stack of wheat, belonging to Mr. James Ward, who keeps a beer-shop, and occupies a few acres of land, near the "Old Chequers," Minster, was discovered to be on fire, and was wholly consumed. The fire is supposed to have originated in design, as the stack stood in a field at some distance from Mr. Ward's premises.
