Thanet: Investigation after Stagecoach bus crashes into micropub
in Broadstairs.
Police say no serious injuries were reported after a bus crashed
outside a micropub in Kent. The collision happened outside the
Magnet Micropub in Broadstairs town centre this morning (July 26).
The incident involved a Stagecoach bus. The company said it was a
"minor collision" and an investigation was being carried out into
the circumstances.
Kent Police said officers were called at 10.25am and attended to
help with managing traffic. The force added that there were no
reports of serious injuries.
A spokesperson for Stagecoach South East said: "We can confirm that
one of our vehicles was involved in an incident in Broadstairs this
morning where a bus was involved in a minor collision with a
building. Safety in our communities is paramount to us and we are
carrying out an investigation into the circumstances."
A Kent Police spokesperson added: "Kent Police was called to York
Street, Broadstairs, following a report of a collision involving a
bus at 10.25am on July 26. Officers assisted in traffic management.
"No serious injuries were reported." The Magnet Micropub said it
remains open as usual. |
