Built in 1908 it latterly became a Methodist home for old people, during the Great War, the it was used for convalescing soldiers.

I am not yet sure whether this hotel had a drinks license, but the proprietors in 1911 were widower William Kirby from Hertford and hotel manageress, Elizabeth Lilly Keates from Cambridge.

By 2010 this had been converted into private flats.
