Above postcard, date unknown, kindly sent by Debi Birkin.

 

This being a hotel you would need to have been a resident or guest to use the facilities.

Unfortunately at present I have no information regarding this establishment. Local knowledge appreciated.

It appears that it was located in Westbrook and not Margate as first thought.

 

From the London Gazette, 20 April 1956.

Cadwallander, Irene Winifred (Wife of John Cadwallader,) "Harvey's Hotel, Canterbury Road, Westbrook, Margate, in the county of Kent, and Cadwallader, John Wrose, present whereabout unknown, formerly carrying on business in co-partnership at "Harvey's hotel."

Hotel proprietors. Court - Canterbury. No. of matter - 15 of 1951.

Last day for Receiving Proofs May 4, 1956. Name of Trustee and Address - Williams, Edward Clarke, Midland Bank Chambers, Herne Bay.
