High Street

Crayford

A pub called the "Half Moon" can be dated from a deed of 1684, which was standing on the site of the "Bear and Ragged Staff" of today, although even that building we see today was only rebuilt in 1925. So, whether the "Half Moon" changed name or indeed was replaced at present I can only guess. Either way, the "Bear and Ragged Staff" was first recorded in 1704.
