Gravesend

Reference has been made to a "Sun" at Parrock near Gravesend. I do not yet know if there is any connection between the other houses I have found called the "Sun" in the Gravesend area.

Ian Goodrick tells me that this is probably the same pub as the "Sun and Piehouse."

Kentish Gazette, Tuesday 18 June 1793.

Canterbury, June 18th. Cricket.

A match of cricket to be played on the cricket ground at Timothy Drury's, the "Sun," Parrock near Gravesend, on Thursday, June the 27th, between the Gentlemen of West Kent against the Gentlemen of Essex, for 100 guineas.

Wickets to be pitched at 11 o'clock, and the game played out.
