Not a lot known about this one at all apart from the mention below when the license was not allowed in 1863.

APPLICATIONS FOR LICENSEES.

An application made by Mr. Hayward for a license to be granted to the "Volunteer" beer-house, Isle of Grain, was refused.

Mr. R. Prall, sen., opposed on the part of Mr. Fry, landlord of the "Cock" public-house.
