Sussex Agricultural Express, Saturday 6th October, 1888.

Extension Refused.

An application for an hour's extension of time to the landlord of the "Weald of Kent Arms," Hawkhurst, on the occasion of a circus being at the village, was refused.

 

Sussex Agricultural Express, Saturday 7th November, 1891.

One hours extension of time was granted to the "Weald of Kent Arms," Hawkhurst, for a bonfire supper.

 

Sussex Agricultural Express, Saturday 27th September, 1902.

Drink and Damage.

Annie Matthews, hopper, was charged with being drunk and disorderly, at Hawkhurst, on Saturday, and with breaking two windows at the "Weald of Kent" Beerhouse.

Prisoner was seen drunk in the road at 11:30 a.m., and after baring her arm, she thrust it through the window.

Fined 2s. 6d. and 6s cost for the 1st, and 5s. and 9s. cost, with 4s. 6d. damage, for the second.

Committed for 21 days.
