The building can be traced to as early as 1755, possible even older and started life as the "King's Head." It changed name to "Isaac's Hotel" in 1999 and was later taken over by the Primark clothing firm, and then in August 2013 it was bought by Allyson Jones and opened as a seafront bar in August 2013 called "Morgan's."

Owner Allyson Jones said the following about the premises in 2017:- "Morgan's" serves local bottled Ale, has a pilsner on draught a good range of fine wines and a fantastic cocktail menu. We have live music most weekends and regularly host a variety of events such as the Margate jazz festival. We serve food in the summer months and have weekly dances socials in salsa and tango. We are also available for private hire.

From an email received 21 January 2017.

My landlord planned to turn it into flats in 2012 and sell up but I approached him and he agreed a lease with me. I changed it from residential back into commercial sold my house and renovated the building.

There were no lights ceiling floor coverings or central heating when I took it on just an empty shell but I have tried to renovate it sympathetically to the original building.

If you Google "King's Head" of Waverley pub you can see the original plans and how the building has been developed over the years.

I'll forward some photos of it now.

Thanks for your time.

Regards,

Allyson Jones.

It appears to be closed in 2021, probably a casualty of covid, although the last mention I have found of it was in August 2018.
