Farningham

 

Reference of this pub has been found from between 1790 when Martin Masters was the licensee and also in June 1806 from a reference in the Morning Post.

However, the pub may be the "Lion Hotel," which I have traced from 1828.

Tuesday last died at Farningham, Mr. Hardyman, many years master of the "Black Lion Inn" at Farningham.

"Black Lion Inn," Farningham.

William Wells, (from the "White Bear," Town Malling,") respectfully informs the Nobility, Gentry and Public in general, that he has taken the said house and humbly solicits their patronage and support, which it will be his chief study to merit, by a punctual attention to all such favour who he shall be honoured with.
